Charles Villeneuve, Nantes (France 1971), architect, designer and painter, defines himself as a craftsman who began working as a cabinetmaker, then studied design in Paris before becoming an architect.<\/p>\n

In 1997 he was awarded the “Grand Prix National d’Architecture de l’Acad\u00e9mie des Beaux-Arts de Paris (former Prix de Rome), Prix Charles Abella and Prix Fran\u00e7oise Abella.”<\/p>\n

From 1999 to 2001 Charles Villeneuve<\/a> joined the artistic section of the Casa de Vel\u00e1zquez, presenting his work at the “Espace Pierre Cardin” and at the “Institut de France” in Paris.<\/p>\n

After this period, Charles Villeneuve decided to settle in Spain, maintaining close ties with Casa de Vel\u00e1zquez: in 2003 he was curator of the 75th anniversary exhibition, in 2012 he joined the Admissions Committee Tribunal for the selection of new resident artists and finally, in 2020 he was appointed member of the Artistic Council.<\/p>\n

Sketcher and traveler, Charles Villeneuve has received numerous national and international awards, such as the “Best of the Best” and “Best of the Best” awards.George Wildenstein<\/a>“of the Institut de France, the National Prize for the “44\u00e8me Salon de la Marine<\/a>“(Mus\u00e9e National de la Marine de Paris), or the First Prize AXA of the XV and XVIII National Contest of outdoor painting among others.<\/p>\n

His graphic work is present in prestigious collections such as: Permanent Collection of the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) Barcelona, Casa de Vel\u00e1zquez, Institut de France, French Embassy in Spain, among others.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
